CBC-TV & Our Case on "72 Hours: True Crime" - Feb. 26/07
Last fall I was approached by a CBC producer about our willingness for them to present our case on their show called "72 Hours: True Crime". It's what they call a docu-drama which is part documentary/part drama. Since it is CBC and not some crazy sensational network, we agreed.
Our rationale is that any public awareness about what Ralph Power did is positive in terms of keeping him locked up for life. The more people who understand the way in which he brutally murdered my sister, Sheryl Gardner, the less likely he will be released by the National Parole Board.
They interviewed the two homocide detectives who are now retired (Boothby and Oldham), as well as myself. It was a difficult interview, to say the least. But the people at CBC were great to work with.
So mark your calendar and tune in to CBC on Monday, Feb. 26 from 9:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
You can view the program description (it's episode 14) at:
