Ralph Power Waives Second Chance at Parole Review

Just got word that Ralph Power has declined his right for a parole review...again. He was to have had a review this coming May. His first scheduled parole review was to have happened in June of 2006...but he waived that opportunity too.

What an incredible relief for me and my family. The thought of sitting in the same room as him sickens me. Entertaining the idea of him being paroled sickens me even more.

Who knows - as I've said before - it's entirely possible that prison is home-sweet-home for Power. After all, he has spent the majority of his life being institutionalized.

And just because he's a psychopathic sociopath doesn't mean he's stupid. Not at all. So maybe he knows he is still a threat?

Whatever the case - I'm just thrilled to post this news!!

Great to hear, Carolyn...I just got wind of this story via a crime program...

I was "very" pleased to read Power's waiver for another Parole review. You deserve alot of credit by the way, for not giving up on your pursuit for continued justice, for your sister.

Any Idea what is supposed to happen now vis-avis any other impending. hearing? what are the standard rules? meaning does the board have an automatic review in the next 2 yrs and does this mean he will NOT get day parole until "that" day comes?

all the best,

My neighbour's daughter, Lana Marie Christophersen, was murdered in October by Jamie Michael Cliff, who had killed in 1998, and attempted to kill another woman in 2004. This animal was set free to kill again.

Karen Smith, 28, and Ayden Miller 2, were murdered in Kelowna by Nicholas Brian Coopper, 27, At age 19, Coopper was convicted of manslaughter after stabbing a man with a hunting knife.

He was sentenced to eight years in prison.

He has also been convicted of assault eight times.

Who the hell is letting these guys out? We know what Power is going to do when he gets out, we just do not know to whom he is going to do it. We have to get a Conservative government in majority to correct this and make parole boards responsible for their decisions.

I saw your story on TV I'm so sorry. As I am a survivor of rape and attempted murder. I know the agony and pain unsure if your concerns and fear of Powers release would be taken seriously. Do you know when he's up for parole again? I pray GodsG will be done. May you have peace. Karen W
